Conor Brady is a writer and journalist. He was the editor of The Irish Times from 1986 until 2002, and is the author of a number of previous books, both non fiction ( notably on policing and the Garda Síochana) and fiction.
Since then, he's held several roles in the public sector. Brady chaired the committee that makes recommendations to ministers and the government about appointments to senior roles in the civil service. Previously, he was commissioner of the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC).
